Birth Rewire & Release
For postpartum women, those pregnant again, and birth professionals carrying the weight of a difficult birth.
In-person in Cairns.
Limited sessions available late April through early May.

Getting through a birth and actually processing it are two very different things.
For many women, the birth story stays exactly where it landed. Fragmented. Heavy. Somewhere it feels safer not to touch.
You might have moved forward in most areas of your life. But something about the birth is still there. In your body. In the moments before sleep. In the fear that surfaces when you think about doing it again.
That is not you being stuck. That is your nervous system doing exactly what it was designed to do. When a birth is overwhelming, the body does not simply move on because time has passed. It holds on, because it has not yet received the signal that the danger is over.
This is where Birth Rewire & Release begins.

A session built around what your body is still holding
Birth Rewire & Release is a 90-minute 1:1 session that works with your birth story and the physical imprints it left behind. It draws on original methodologies from the Reconnected Birthing Mentorship through Core and Floor Restore, which Caitlin is currently completing.
These sessions go beyond talking through what happened. The work supports your nervous system in understanding that while this birth is a permanent part of your story, the immediate threat has passed. You are supported to carry it forward from a place of integration, not bracing.
A limited number of sessions are open now as Caitlin integrates this methodology into her practice.
This May Be Right for You If...
Your birth felt traumatic, confusing, or deeply disappointing
You have unanswered questions about what happened or why certain decisions were made
You feel angry, sad, or anxious about your birth and it hasn’t eased with time
You’re considering another pregnancy and unresolved fear from your last birth is weighing on you
You want to talk to someone who understands the clinical side and the emotional side
You need a safe space to process your experience without being told to ‘move on’ or ‘be grateful’
You don’t need to label your experience as trauma to benefit from this session. If something feels unresolved, that’s reason enough.

How the Process Works
Before the session
You will have a brief conversation with Caitlin to talk through what you are hoping to get from the session. This helps her prepare and ensures the space feels safe before you arrive.
During the session
You share your story at your own pace. Caitlin works with you using the Reconnected Birthing Mentorship methodology, weaving your birth story together with somatic and embodied practices designed to unwind the physical charge your body has been holding.
There is no rush. There is no agenda beyond you. The session is guided by what you bring into the room.
After the session
Many women leave feeling lighter, or simply relieved to have been heard fully. If further support would help, whether that is counselling, continuity of care for a future pregnancy, or a follow-up conversation, Caitlin will talk through what that could look like.
Questions About Birth Debriefing
There’s no time limit. Some women come weeks after their birth, others years later. Whenever you’re ready is the right time.
No. Birth debriefing is available to any woman in the Cairns and Far North Queensland region, regardless of where or how you gave birth.
You’re welcome to bring them if you have them, but it’s not required. The session is guided by your experience and your questions. Caitlin can help provide clinical context based on what you describe.
That’s completely expected and completely safe. This is a space where your emotions are welcome. Caitlin is experienced in holding space for difficult feelings with care and steadiness.
A traditional birth debrief focuses on talking through what happened clinically. Birth Rewire & Release goes further. It integrates your story with somatic and embodied practices drawn from the Reconnected Birthing Mentorship, supporting your body and your nervous system, not just your understanding of events
Yes. Birth workers and support people carry the weight of the births they attend. That residual charge is real. This session is explicitly open to midwives, doulas, and other birth professionals who need space to process what they witnessed.
